The power of three

Meraki Executive Search & Consulting is fast approaching its third birthday, so as a team we have taken some time to look back on the highs and the challenges from the past few years. Here are three updates incorporating our latest work, our support for executive job seekers and our hiring news:

One:

From its historical roots within the search firm Harvey Nash, Meraki struck out in 2017 to form a new energy in the Asia leadership industry.

During the past three years, Meraki has gone from strength to strength and the team has doubled in size. We now have locations in Hong Kong (HQ), India and Vietnam. We are exceptionally proud to say that all this has been achieved against the backdrop of more than a year of unrest in Hong Kong and the global outbreak of COVID-19. We are very fortunate to have established amazing new client relationships as well as maintaining our previous client base.

Successful searches in recent months include, CEO Hong Kong, CEO China, Chief Information officer, Regional Chief Compliance Officer, Regional Head of Operational Excellence, Operations Director India, HR Director India, VP Infrastructure Asia, Chief Investment Officer Asia, Head of Operations Singapore, in addition to a number of iNED appointments.

Meraki continues to deliver the world leading board governance programme, WDP or the Women’s Directorship Programme, in partnership with The University of Hong Kong, which is now in its eighth year. The 2020 instalment of the programme is running in Q3 this year. The program continues to benefit from amazing speakers, such as Sir Donald Brydon - the former Chairman of London Stock Exchange, Rick Haythornthwaite - Chairman of Mastercard and Jean Pascal Tricoire - Chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric. Major new projects include searches for CEO China, Regional CMO, Regional Head of Transformation, a China Management team build out and a number of iNED/Chairman appointments.

Our Leadership Services business line has been strengthened with the appointment by a global Insurance firm to drive their regional CEO Development Program across Asia. Meraki is also supporting two additional clients in the Financial Services sector with their Diversity Talent Mapping and engagement programmes, helping them to appoint more senior women. We have also partnered with a number of clients on strategic initiatives to help raise the visibility of their employer brand, drive connectivity and develop their networks.

Two:

Despite the devasting impact of COVID-19 globally and across the region, we are hugely thankful that Meraki continues to flourish due to the support and belief of our clients and contacts.
